The USB-RS232 converter solves the problem of lacking a serial port, increasingly apparent in computers fitted only with USB ports.
The converter has been designed for cooperation with Elzab devices, such as cash registers, multiplexers, modems, printers, but may also be successfully connected to other devices that use the RS232 interface.
The converter is a universal device, as it supports all signals existing in the RS232 connection. It is built around the FTDI232RL chip.
After connecting the converter to the USB port and installation of the driver, the so-called virtual port is provided to be used in the same way as a real serial port.
It is supported by programs that can use virtual serial ports.
The converter is compatible with the following operating systems (32- and 64-bit) Windows 98 / 98SE / ME / 2000 / 2003 Server / CE.NET 4.2 and 5.0 / XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / MAC OS 8/9, OS-X, Linux 2.4 and later.
